Collaborative Specialization in

Next Generation Precision Medicine

The Collaborative Specialization in Next-Generation Precision Medicine is designed to encourage cross-disciplinary training and collaboration across diverse departments at the University of Toronto.  We provide training in cutting-edge technologies to develop novel therapeutic strategies, create new tools for disease diagnosis, and enable a deeper understanding of disease biology through integration of principles and methods across the physical and life sciences, and engineering.

PRiME was established as a Strategic Initiative at the University of Toronto in 2019 to align research efforts across different faculties in the broad area of precision medicine.

PRiME brings together multi-disciplinary talent to address emerging challenges in healthcare.

Admission Criteria

This program accepts PhD students who are conducting interdisciplinary research at the University of Toronto. Supervisors will be core faculty members of the Collaborative Specialization.

Program Requirements

This Collaborative Specialization focuses on interdisciplinary research training and innovative approaches in precision medicine. We also aim to foster a better understanding of research collaboration and translation.

Participating Members

There are currently 16 faculty members across 4 departments from the University of Toronto participating in this collaborative specialization program.
